Our Story
From the black water creeks and the brackish estuaries of the Pamlico River to the open waters of the Atlantic, Swan Point Boats has been a name synonymous with craftsmanship and purpose-built performance since the mid-1980s. Designed by master boat-builders Bill Talley and Horace Bower, SwanPoint was born from a desire to create a boat that could handle both shallow water fishing and wide-open runs without sacrificing quality or affordability.
Though the original shop closed in the mid-1990s, the boats became legends in their own right, passed down through families and sought after along the eastern seaboard. In 2020, J T Boatworks revived the brand, partnering with Caldwell Marine Designs to merge the proven hulls with today’s best composite materials and modern techniques. The result is a line of boats that honor tradition while embracing performance with each build being custom tailored to meet your vision, from layout to finish.
